Employment Requirement: At Sunshine day care we give numerous incentives, paid training etc.
Expected skill set (Child care certificate or diploma, experience, Childcare first Aid, Police report Clearance etc.)
Will have to adhere to regular work and activity schedules.
Have to wear appropriate clothing for childcare work.
Have to work cooperatively and harmoniously with all staff.
Must be able to Identify safety hazards and immediately corrects them or reports them to program supervisor.
Must protect and enhance the health, safety and security of children and youth at the center.
Have to attend staff meetings, training events, as meetings, conferences/workshops, etc.
Must maintain required level of training hours with required documentation.
Be able to supervise children carefully and closely and keep group under control at all times.
Have to assist children in a way that develops the child’s role and initiative and interacts in ways that help them learn.
Plans a significant amount of the program curriculum and implements activities, enrichment clubs and special events. Plans a wide variety of activities that are designed to facilitate positive development and a sense of community. Ensures sufficient materials are on hand for planned activities.
Gears the program to the needs of the individual child with concerns for his/her interests and special needs.
Ensures a safe, fun and age appropriate environment that enhances the health, safety and security of children and youth. Assists in preparation of the model environment.
Knows and applies basic first aid and prepares accident reports in cases of accidents and injuries.
Interacts with parents and children in positive ways and treats them with dignity and respect.
Maintains a positive and professional attitude with parents, children and staff at all times.
Communicates the child's progress with parents in a positive and supportive manner.
Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the program and supports the policies and philosophy of children's choice.
Maintains a neat and orderly child care environment. Performs an equal share of general housekeeping duties. Maintains and stores equipment properly.
